2017-2018 International Leaders in Education Program (ILEP)

The Philippine-American Educational Foundation (PAEF) is now ready to accept applications from qualified secondary school teachers in the fields of English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Special Education for the International Leaders in Education Program (ILEP), a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, implemented by IREX (the International Research & Exchanges Board), a Washington, DC based non-profit organization, and administered by PAEF here in the Philippines.

ILEP brings outstanding international teachers to the U.S. for a five-month professional development program which consists of a semester-long academic program at a U.S. university, including coursework and intensive training in teaching methodologies, lesson planning, teaching strategies for their home environment, teacher leadership, as well as the use of computers and the internet as tools for teaching. The semester-long program will also include an internship at a secondary school to actively engage participants with American teachers and students.

The application period for the 2016-2017 International Leaders in Education Program from January 11, 2017 to March 31, 2017.
