Earl Castuera Magahis was born on December 24, 1997 at Calamba, Laguna. His affinity for animals and passion for wildlife preservation led him to pursue a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in Pampanga State Agricultural University. Earl also has a passion for mathematics, winning the 1st Annual Freshmen Mathematics Quiz Bee back in 2014, and placed seventh in the regional level of Statistics Quiz Bee in the same year. Earl received the highest score in his class in the National Veterinary Admission Test in 2016. He was also one of the few people selected for the Philchema Undergraduate Scholarship in 2016.
Earl developed an early interest in American movies and music, and named traveling to New York as his biggest aspiration in life. Having spent his last two years of high school in Adventist University of the Philippines, he was exposed to people of different nationalities, and acquired a sense of curiosity as to how they live their day-to-day lives compared to the Filipinos.
Aside from animal medicine and mathematics, his other passions include art, literature, traveling, astronomy, dance and Thai culture.
Earl Castuera Magahis graduated from Adventist University of the Philippines in Silang, Cavite. He is currently taking up a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in Pampanga State Agricultural University in Magalang, Pampanga. His has attended various training and leadership workshops including Soroptomist Gender Equality Orientation, Anti-Rabies Vaccination Drive, Ruminant Health Workshop, Animal Kingdom Foundation Spay and Neuter Project, and Equine Health Project.
Earl Castuera Magahis showed a great deal of interest in mathematics when he was little. This allowed him to maintain a consistent above-average grade in the subject, and he has entered numerous competitions in the said field. He is quite skilled in conducting laboratory researches, and making research papers. Earl was also a member of his school’s Drum and Lyre Band from 2008 to 2012. His passion for animals led him to pursue a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, and he has shown interest in drug formulation. He also loves to read books, mainly in the sci-fi genre.
