The competition for the 2020-2021 Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Program for International Teachers (Fulbright DAI) is still open!
Fulbright DAI brings international primary and secondary teachers to the U.S. for a semester-long program to pursue individual or group projects, take courses for professional development at a host university, observe, and share their expertise with U.S. colleagues. The goal of the program is to enhance teachers’ expertise in academic disciplines and equip them with a better understanding of best educational practices. Fulbright DAI also aims to develop productive and lasting relationships and mutual understanding between the U.S. and international teachers from participant countries.
Primary and secondary school teachers who hold full-time teaching positions in all subjects are eligible. Library media specialists, guidance counselors, curriculum specialists, special education coordinators, and school administrators who engage with students at least fifty percent of their time are also welcome to apply.
Fulbright DAI is sponsored by the United States Department of State with funding provided by the U.S. Government and administered by the International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX), a non-profit organization based in Washington D.C. Fulbright Philippines assists IREX in administering Fulbright DAI in the country.
