The Fulbright Commission in the Philippines (Philippine-American Educational Foundation) participates in the Manila leg of the EducationUSA Fair 2020, staying true to its mission of promoting international education and exchange between the Philippines and the United States of America.
The 5th Annual Education Fair is hosted by EducationUSA, the official source for U.S. higher education. EducationUSA, in partnership with the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines, brings together more than 20 U.S. colleges and universities in this year’s education fair, giving Filipinos more opportunities and information on how to apply to their preferred U.S. institutions.
Participants will also learn of the various scholarship grants being offered by the Fulbright Program, an international exchange program between the Philippines and the United States. Students, parents, and school administrators may visit the Fulbright Philippines booth to know more about the various scholarship programs available for Filipinos.
According to Fulbright Philippines Executive Director Julio Amador III, the Fulbright Program works hand in hand with EducationUSA in promoting the United States as a premier destination for higher education.
“We support the EducationUSA Philippines advising team in its quest to offer guidance and information to those Filipinos who are interested to study in the United States. This year’s EducationUSA Fair makes it easier for Filipinos to decide which college or university in the U.S. will fit their needs.”
Amador is grateful for the opportunity to promote the Fulbright Program during the education fair. “Currently, we are accepting applications for the Fulbright Foreign Student Program and the Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Program for International Teachers. Interested participants may simply visit our booth to ask about the eligibility requirements and application procedures for a Fulbright scholarship. Interested applicants may also visit https://fulbright.org.ph/scholarship-programs/ for more information.”
The EducationUSA Fair 2020 will be on Thursday, February 27, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Podium Hall in Mandaluyong City.
