Dr. Joanne Scillitoe an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Academic Director of the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), is the 2015-2016 Fulbright-Sycip Distinguished Lecturer. From February 17 to March 5, 2016, she gave engaging lectures on Embedding Entrepreneurship in College Curricula, Technology Business Incubation and Innovation System, and Technology Business Incubation to students, faculty, administrators, young entrepreneurs, and business persons/leaders. The Asian Institute of Management, Ateneo de Manila University Gokongwei School of Management, Entrepreneurs School of Asia, Ramon V. del Rosario College of Business – De La Salle University, US Embassy Manila, Philippine Stock Exchange, University of the Philippines-Diliman Virata College of Business Administration hosted her lectures. The American Chamber of Commerce invited Dr. Scillitoe as plenary speaker at the E-Learning Global Summit held at the SMX Convention Center.
During her three-week stint in the country, Dr. Scillitoe excitedly explored with the PAEF staff some parts in Metro Manila, such as the Legaspi Sunday Market where she enjoyed the local produce and Filipino & international cuisine; the Ayala Museum where she learned about Philippine History; and at some local shopping areas where she got some gifts for her mother, herself, and some friends in the US. She also joined a package tour of MetroManila and Tagaytay. She appreciated the visit to Intramuros, in particular, Fort Santiago and San Agustin Church and the trip to Tagaytay.
