Adrian Reister G. Fernandez, fondly called “Yanyan” by his friends, is a sophomore chemical engineering student of the University of Mindanao. He is a consistent honor student since primary school, graduated with high distinction in high school, and a Dean’s Lister at college.
Apart from his academic achievements, he is also active in various socio-civic and academic organizations. He previously served as the President of his high school’s Student Council and the Interact Club of Midsayap — a town in Cotabato Province. He also led the revival of the scouting movement in his high school while serving as a Senior Crew Leader of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines’ institutional outfit for 3 years. Because of his engagements, he was awarded with the Gerry Roxas Leadership Award in 2019. Presently, he is the Vice President for Public Affairs of the Chemical Engineering Student’s Association at his university for the academic year 2021-2022. In addition, he was among the founding leaders of a local youth organization called “Higala” which is now operating for 2 years. He aspires to be an established individual someday who lives without regrets.
