Amyel will pursue PhD study in Environmental Science at State University of New York, College of Environmental Science & Forestry (SUNY-ESF)
A graduate of BS Biology (major in microbiology) and MS Environmental Science from the University of the Philippines Los BaƱos, Amyel is currently working as a college instructor and chairperson of the Department of Forestry and Environmental Science at Cavite State University. She handles lecture and laboratory classes of the major subjects under the BS Environmental Science program while doing research, extension, and performing her assigned strategic functions in the university. Her researches mainly revolve on assessing the water quality and characteristics of the watersheds and water resources in the Province of Cavite. She is also involved on research on climate risk vulnerability of selected provinces in the region. Her long-term goal is to help achieve the global sustainable development goals, particularly clean water and sanitation, through holistic approach and science-based local actions.
