April T. Belarmino is a Junior High School teacher of Daraga National High School for 11 years. She graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Secondary Education, Major in Biology at Bicol University College of Education, Legazpi City, and she is currently taking up her Master of Arts in Biology Education at Bicol University Graduate School. She is also currently the DNHS Faculty Club Public Information Officer, Grade 8 Science level Coordinator, and ISEP-Agham Science Enrichment Coordinator who provides extended learning opportunities and challenging activities to students who have already mastered, or can quickly master, the basic curriculum. She is also a tennis enthusiast who serves as a tennis coach, and as an officiating official during sports events. April is also a certified UNESCO-APCEIU Global Citizenship Education Advocate who believes that the essence of every teacher is to provide holistic education and hone responsible learners. She believes that being a Fulbright-DAI scholar would help her engage and collaborate with other educators in innovating ways to help empower the learners in becoming citizens imbued with wisdom, values, attitudes, and skills that will support sustainable development.
