Arvie Grace B. Masibag is an Instructor of the Department of Biological Science at the College of Arts and Sciences, Cavite State University. She is currently the designated College Research Coordinator. She will pursue PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Graduate School of University of Rhode Island.
She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of the Philippines Baguio while her Master of Science in Biology was obtained from De La Salle University – Dasmarinas.
Aside from her regular teaching schedule at the undergraduate level, she is also a Graduate Faculty at the CvSU College of Graduate School and Open Learning College for both the MS Biology and MAEd Biology curricular programs. She handles both lecture and laboratory classes and also in-charge of the Undergraduate Thesis requirement in her capacity as the Department Research Coordinator.
Her interests in research revolve on determination of bioactivities of various extracts and other natural products, specifically those with possible antimicrobial and anti-biofilm properties. She is also active in both campus’ research and extension activities. .
Outside of work, she likes to watch movies, listen to music and podcasts. On longer vacation days, she likes to travel or go on hiking with friends.
