BIO NARRATIVE
Mr. Jaypee S. Samson is a faculty member of the College of Fisheries, Central Luzon State University (CLSU) in Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija. He is pursuing his Doctoral degree in Biological and Environmental Sciences at the University of Rhode Island. Mr. Samson obtained his undergraduate degree in Fisheries (cum laude) and Master’s degree in Aquaculture from CLSU in 2016 and 2018, respectively. After finishing his master’s degree, he was hired as an instructor at the College of Fisheries, CLSU, and was assigned to teach and be involved in research studies conducted by the institution, particularly on aquatic animal health and aquaculture. He published several scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals in the field of aquaculture and fisheries. As a recipient of the Fulbright-CHED PhD Scholarship Grant, he aims to broaden his knowledge and understanding in his field of expertise for him to be able to share more information and ideas with his students. Furthermore, he also wants to forge collaborations in terms of research and education exchange between CLSU and US universities. Outside his research and academic responsibilities, he enjoys watching movies, singing, biking, and cooking. Other than that, he is also an active member of the Alpha Sigma Phi Philippines ICSO Inc. which conducts community outreach activities and volunteer works.
