Ms. Mary Jelyn Kate B. Gatlabayan is a Filipino educator specializing in Language and Literature Education. She pursued a Doctor of Education at Far Eastern University-Manila and completed a Foreign Language course at the University of the Philippines-Diliman. She is currently affiliated with San Jose National High School in the Division of Antipolo City. She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching major in English Studies and Instruction and is a TESOL-certified educator. She is also a TESDA scholar in the Spanish language for various vocations.

She has been recognized as an Outstanding Teacher at the Asia's Educators Awards, the HAMAKA Awards of Excellence, and Gawad Josepeño. She has also received multiple distinctions in division, regional, and international research competitions, including Innovator of the Year and Best Research Paper. Recently, she was recognized as Best Reading Innovator at the division level. In addition, she actively mentors student journalists while continuously supporting literacy development initiatives.
