Mussah Karsum A. Jalaide, fondly called "Meow" by her friends owing to her love for cats, is an undergraduate student of AB Language Studies at MSU-TCTO (Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography). Growing up with strict parents and without siblings, books have been her bestfriends that made her feel like she had already visited many places and met people from different walks of life. It prompted her to advocate for peace, mental health, gender equality, environment, and against racism, through joining organizations and volunteering in various community services.
She was the secretary of YISEPE (Youth Initiative for Social Enterprises and Peace Education) in 2018, former president of Rotaract Club of MSU-TCTO for the Rotary Year 2020-2021, and former Managing Editor of Kawasa Official Student Publication of MSU-TCTO. Currently, she's a broadcaster at 94.1 DXNH-FM Nutriskwela Radyo Kasannangan, and public image director of the Language Department. Her hectic schedule doesn't hinder her from excelling academically. She's a consistent lister since 2018, she had already experienced being a dean's list, chancellor's list, and even president's list.
With her passion to amplify the voices of those who wanted to be heard, she has been pursuing a psycholinguistic research study about the language acquisition among deaf pupils.
Apart from being a wild reader, she's also a writer and business-minded person. Watching horror movie relieves her stress, and she would like to be remembered as someone who loves to put happiness in people's lives.
