Bio / Write-up:

Sheryl Anne Sanchez Lugtu is a writer, youth and literary advocate, former school paper adviser, and teacher. She dedicated her heart to teaching literature and English subjects to Senior High School students at the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta Molino Campus. She is currently completing her master's degree in literature at the Philippine Normal University. 

She spent nine years in teaching while juggling her advocacies and literary career. She is now ready to unravel broader horizons through the Fulbright program and aims to build linkages for her home institution, the host institution, and the Fulbright office. This bond would help create opportunities not just for the said institutions. 

Aside from her academic affiliations, she is also a member of The Philippine PEN, a subgroup of International PEN, helping young writers navigate their writing career through Societas Literati--the literary group that she founded. She believes that big things start with small steps so she is taking as many steps as she can. 

She is hoping to help strengthen the Filipino-American Friendship by introducing the Filipino culture through diverse perspectives. Moreover, She is positive that she will learn many from host institutions and be able to bring all back home
