TONI ROSE “COOKIE” BARROGA
Toni Rose Barroga is currently affiliated with the Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Animal Industry where she is largely involved in policy making related to animal health, border control, local and international trade, market access, among others. Before joining the government, Toni handled several international funded projects in the Philippines on Rabies and Antimicrobial Resistance where she participated in formulating strategic tools which have been used by regional and local counterparts in their program implementation. She will be hosted by Kansas State University as she pursues a degree in Masters in Public Health. With the knowledge and technical skills gained through the Fulbright Scholarship Grant, it is her goal to use this in her present role in developing government regulations for the animal and public health sector. On a personal note, Toni enjoys watching movies, cooking, outdoor activities and extreme sports.
