Uploaded on Friday, 11 March 2016

The Hubert H. Humphrey Alumni Philippines held its 8th Humphrey Voices Series last March 10, 2016 at the Philippine-American Educational Foundation.  Addressing an audience composed of Ateneo Law School students, Humphrey alumni, PAEF and Philippine Senate staff and lawyers, Justice Maria Filomena (Monette) Singh discussed the state of and reforms in the Philippine judiciary.  She touched on her Humphrey year at American University and how the experience helped her make a difference and contribute to judiciary reforms in the country.  She challenged the 50 Ateneo law students who were present to become agents of change.  “Change,” she said, “must come from each of us.”
