Dr. Ted Ladd, one of two 2017 Fulbright-SyCip Distinguished Lecturers completed his two-week lecturing program in the Philippines last March 30, 2017.
Dr. Ladd is a professor of entrepreneurship at the Hult International Business School and is also a visiting professor of entrepreneurship at the Copenhagen Business School. He has participated in six different venture-backed high-tech startups over the last 20 years. In his most recent corporate experience, he was the Director of Ecosystems at WIMM Labs, a startup backed by Foxconn to create wearable electronics, including a smartwatch. He holds a PhD in Management from Case Western Reserve, an MBA from Wharton, an MA in international economics from Johns Hopkins, and a BA triple major cum laude from Cornell. His research has appeared in the Harvard Business Review, the Stanford Social Innovation Review, the Academy of Management, and several other journals and conferences.
Dr. Ladd’s program included lectures on the Lean Startup Method at the Virata School of Business Administration, UP Diliman, the John Gokongwei School of Management, Ateneo de Manila University, the Asian Institute of Management, De La Salle University through American Corner Manila, and a video conference with St. Loius University through American Corner Baguio. His program also included lecturing engagements with professional organizations such as Junior Chamber International, Ortigas branch, Ideaspace, Kickstart, and Startup Village and meetings with Fulbright alumnus and Chief Operating Officer of the Philippine Stock Exchange, Atty. Roel Refran and business professors at Ateneo de Manila University. He was featured in an article by BusinessWorld and guested in the television show Market Edge with Kathy Yang.
