Bio / Write-up:

Angelica is Teacher III at Pitogo High School, where she teaches Grade 7 English. She is also a teacher under the school’s Alternative Learning System, which helps out-of-school youth and adults continue their basic education. She is an alumna of De La Salle University, Manila where she completed her Master of Arts in English Language Education.  

Her research interests include corpus linguistics, language teaching, language assessment, and reading literacy. Angelica has presented in international conferences and has published articles in peer-reviewed journals. Her recent publication won Second Runner-Up in the Best Paper Competition during the 36th Pacific Asia Conference on Language, Information and Computation.  

Through the FDAI program, she will continue to study differentiated language teaching and differentiated language assessment. She hopes to adapt and to embrace the best practices of language teachers in the United States to help her students learn English and reading holistically. Angelica aspires to explore the different cultures that the United States presents to help her become a more global citizen, inside and outside the classroom setting.  

Beyond her professional endeavors, Angelica is passionate about collecting and donating books to her students and friends, she believes that reading is best experienced when shared with others.
